The North West Essex Conservative Party is pleased to announce William Church as its candidate for the Great Dunmow North by-election which is being held on Thursday 30 July 2026.
Commenting on his selection, William said:
"Thank you to all my Conservative colleagues for selecting me to carry the torch of our Conservative ideals forward to the electorate of Dunmow North. I have been inspired by Kemi Badenoch in her honest & down to earth approach to issues that matter to us all and I will carry this mantra forward in my election campaign to represent you at District Council after this election on 30th July."
William is currently a local family businessman running a contracting company employing multiple members of staff.
William said that he "wants to focus on the great pool of people that own or work in entrepreneurship here in Dunmow and the families that support or depend on them for income."
On local planning matters, William said that he "will focus on the range of issues that challenge our day to day lives such as fixing the pothole crisis in our area and fighting for greater investment in the critical food and water security in our part of Essex. We cannot “build build build” whilst our infrastructure is not capable of supporting growth."
He is now seeking to stand for the Conservative Party and to help further the interests and issues of residents in Great Dunmow-North.
